I am back. You would think with about 5 days of not posting, I would have something to say. And you would be wrong. So stop thinking, it obviously is not doing you any good.
I have heard too much lately, from people, that I want to scream. People who obviously cannot read, as they buy based solely on a picture without reading the accompanying text (which says it all). Fucking buyer's remorse!
I have somebody, who either cannot spell or is a moron, trying to give me lessons on the law but when asked to cite specific legislation or regulations, claims my responce (sic) was defensive. Then he goes on to tell me how he is in marketing and advertising (obviously not a copywriter) which of course, merely avoids my request for the legal authority on which he is basing his statement. (It was an issue regarding a charity auction of a golf tee time gift certificate with a stated expiry date, which is explicitly stated in the listing description). As to his claim of being in advertising and marketing, watching some commercials and skimming a marketing brochure do not an expert make, dude.
In response to that half-wit (there is no point in me engaging him as he has a clear choice-bid or don't bid--of course, some folks are just so smug and think that they are saving the world by nitpicking--piss on them, I say), fuck-wad, if you had read the legislation/regulations and checked the government website dealing with this, you would know that these certificates fall under at least three exemptions: 1. They are charitable donations so the expiry date rules do not apply; 2. They are for specific services/goods not like a nebulous gift card, which is exempt; and 3. They do sell for less than retail or the face value of the certificate, which makes them exempt as well.
I had no intention of giving a lesson on the current state of consumer protection legislation, but this dude just pissed me off.
Fuck people and those who ride in them. I think that I need a good blowjob. Gotta run! Ciao!
