I am back. I was struck by the following news article. Here is the link.
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/cardboard-cut-ayatollah-khomeini-inspects-iranian-military-155653919.html
The headline tells it all, really, Cardboard Cutout of Ayatollah Khomeini Inspects Iranian Military. To honor the return from exile of Ayatollah Khomeini from France in 1979, after the Shah went into exile, they have commemorated that date with these cardboard cutouts of the Ayatollah Khomeini. There was one watching the events from the plane, too.
I have only one question, though, will they also commemorate, that holier-than-thou asshole's body falling out of his casket when they paraded his dead body along from his funeral? They can use another cardboard cutout for that one.
He did usher in a world of goodness for the Iranian people, did he not? As we can see today, change SAVAK to Revolutionary Guards, what do you get? Same old, same old. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss (thank you Pete Townshend and the Who for that line--Won't Get Fooled Again).
Just thought it all funny. Let the Iranian military play to a cardboard cutout. Maybe they could use Kevin McAllister's Michael Jordan cardboard cutout next time.
Ciao!
